Peter Kieran - the military Veteran you had on as your on 9/9/16 - is amazing and understands the horrible suicide problem for military Vets better than anyone I have heard in quite some time - not to mention, the horrifying decision not to bring every single one of the Afghans that helped this country during the war in Afghanistan. You should try to cover this again before the 9/30/16 deadline that is approaching gets here. Very very worthwhile story that more Americans need to be made aware of. I have a feeling this one will resonate on both sides of the aisle.Posted on Sep 10, 2016

How many times has Alex Jones watched and literally absorbed the film "Soylent Green"? His thinking is neither normal nor healthy. Seems like the inmates really are running the asylum and for some reason, the staff have given him an external pass, along with a microphone and Internet access. Where do these people come from and how do we return them to the facilities they belong in?Posted on Sep 09, 2016

Barbara Carson:

Just a thought - Have Rachel give the entire history of ISIS beginnings, which I think is that they were part of the Bath regime of Saddam Hussein, they were military people that were fired when a Republican President George W. Bush invaded Iraq based on a lie, and so on. Also from my understanding they could not come to an agreement on keeping forces in Iraq so Obama had to pull out, which was Bush's plan originally. Then end w/ things that Trump &/or Clinton have said regarding Isis & Iraq. Then tell the American people that this is their choice - one candidate that thinks they know more than the "rubble" Generals & feels justified taking control of oil in a sovereign country, which would b a war crime, or Clinton w/whatever u want to say about her. This would clearly show America's choice, a person who actually understands the complexities of this problem or a person who clearly doesn't know ANYTHING about the Middle East. The TRUTH is that this problem was not created by Obama but by Bush invading Iraq that opened this "can of worms".Posted on Sep 09, 2016

I am a Democrat from a red state, Idaho. I am particularly discouraged about the lack of continued coverage of Donald Trump's unlawful endeavors: Trump University, not paying his workers, hiring illegal aliens, the foundation activities, etc. It seems that reporters cover Hillary's emails and foundation relationship ad nasem. Why is that? Then I read a Washington Post article that said many reporters are assigned to reports about Hillary Clinton, but only a couple reporters are assigned to cover Trump, so the incidents are only in the media for a day or so. This does not allow for an educated public to get the same facts before the election in the same manner and clearly favors one candidate over another. What can a regular person do about this? I respect the way you investigate stories and present facts that you don't see somewhere else, so I would appreciate any info regarding why all networks don't present investigations equally. Thank youPosted on Sep 07, 2016

Rachel, I never miss a show! I immediately realized that Kellyanne Conway had lied when I saw Roger Ailes listed among those who were helping D.T. with his debate preparation. So often these spokespeople exaggerate, deflect and omit facts, however there is no benefit to this dishonest behavior. Apparently she is practiced and proficient at this, so she fits right into the campaign she works for. Being an accomplished liar is likely a basis for employment there. This definitely will reflect on her professionally and personally. shame on her. I am so happy she has been exposed. Bravo, Rachel!Posted on Sep 03, 2016

Just wanted to tell Rachel that one thing about her show is that I always learn from her show. News is part of her show and I do look forward to this, but what I learn related to the news is what you add in the way of new information. Passed along the information about Pres. Lincoln and the Wigs and the Know nothing party. When you talk about the action between the rise of new parties because of the vacuum in place. This clearly made it clear between the rise of ISIS because of the empty spaces between a stable political environment and no political environment.Posted on Sep 02, 2016

Why isn't a segment done on Trump's history of success through setting others up with promises that he fully planned to dishonor. You can read the article at the link below. It is an absolutely mind bending tale about a man without conscience, empathy, or concern for anyone but himself who has left a path of destruction in his wake, and a multitude of hard working people in dire financial straits. This is an article every American should read. Please do what you can, Rachel, to publicize it on your show. This covered the complete term of Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State from Jan. 21, 2009 - Feb. 1, 2013. The Inspector General reports directly to the Secretary of State. While she was in office there was no Inspector General in office to tell her "maybe private e-mail a bad idea." Great story on the obscene Governor of Maine's veto of the heroine OD antidote to buy much needed time to get patient in the hands of EMS. But, it seems to me you left out a critical part of the story. Doesn't the Maine Constitution allow the legislature to override the veto? Since it was sent to the Governor's desk with broad bipartisan support, when will the Governor's 'thoughts' on this issue be swept aside by the override. If it's not overridden, how truly bipartisan was the vote in the legislature? It would tell me the Republicans in the legislature were using a 'give it to Mikey' strategy - voting for it because they knew the Governor would veto it anyway. (It's a fine line....cynical / realist...) Total honesty alert, I did get a call from the office during this piece. I tried to handle the call & continue to pay attention to the story. From a brokered convention, the Republicans can place Ryan as their candidate in the fall, spare him any contempt from Trump, and by contrast to Crews and Trump, have Ryan as a more wildly capable candidate verses Hilary Clinton. The element of surprise fits with the present silence of the Koch Brothers and Carl Rove and the ultimate goal of the Republicans to take back the White Hose in 2016 They never intended to have Trump or Crews, all a political rse.Posted on Apr 09, 2016

This story from the Detroit Free Press is an example of how Michigan government operates. "a bill that would cap, cut, alter and reassign the benefits that catastrophic victims rely on. Oh. And they're inserting a provision to make sure we, the people, can never vote on it — even though we were the ones who created this thing and upheld it twice in statewide votes.Posted on Mar 05, 2016

On my read of Erik Larson's 2011 nonfiction book "In the Garden of Beasts" - I'm struck with the frightening similarity of Hitler's rise to power and Trump's current cancerous campaign of ignorance and hate. In the book, replace Hitler with Trump and Germany with America and you see the monster that is emerging. I want to suggest you invite the author on your show to discuss his research of Hitler.Posted on Mar 05, 2016

Bernie Sanders and FDR are so much alike except back then they called FDR'S New Deal Old AMERICAN Values Bernie calls it Democratic Socialism. So many people have forgot The Great Depression and they need to see pictures of how bad it was here in the US doing the Great Depression. Food and Work Lines. Bernie's ideas are NOT NEW if more people realized how FDR rebuilt American and how his Socialist Programs saved the American People. Bernie and FDR have many similarities. People need to see what the edge looks like when we give the keys to the hen house to the fox. FDR and BERNIE have great insight. THE RETRN TO OLD AMERICAN VALUES! If we do not remember our past we are doomed to repeat it. Thank you Rachel Brenda McElhaneyPosted on Mar 05, 2016

Dear Rachel, 3/4/2016 Last night I watched the Republican Debate I was SHOCKED when both Cruz and Trump stated more than once that they would SHUT DOWN the EPA In view of what has happened in FLINT this is a horrible idea. All you need to do is pull up old pictures of Buffalo, NY, Lackawanna,NY and Pennsylvania pollution pictures of when Bethlehem Steel was at it's height 1950-1980 when I grew up you could not see two feet in front of you and the entire sky was orange and Lake Erie was so polluted. To this day the ground is so contaminated you can do anything with it except for windmills. Most people do not remember what this looked like before the EPA. One only has to look to China and their serious pollution problems since the steel industry landed there. In Buffalo we also had the Love Canal. America needs the EPA...please help to show people what our country could look like without the EPA. Thank you for you. Brenda McElhaneyPosted on Mar 05, 2016

I know you can't speak for ALL but I don't understand WHY every time Trump opens his mouth every word is carried live! Trump's response to Romney, his great buildings and wealth, etc. was live & on approximately 20 minutes! Why give him SO MUCH FREE AIR TIME to spout his BS? I watch & love your show and Lawrence's and was hoping you would explain why.Posted on Mar 04, 2016

Why talk about delegates being for Hillary when they can change there pledge? It influences voters whom think Bernie cannot win. I won't vote Hillary in General election if I believe election was influenced by these super delegates. Further the lack of attention being given to Robert Reich who gave an important endorsement to Bernie. may democrats I know are for Hillary because they say no economists agree with Bernie and Friedman. Why is so little being made of Bernie winning 4 states and coming so close in Mass against the Clinton political machine? That's big news! Is it because she has the big money that supports your media? I'm trying to figure out why the Bias towards her?Posted on Mar 02, 2016

From the comments I have heard tonight, I will not be watching MSNBC anymore! I might as well have been watching Fox News. Good-bye.Posted on Mar 02, 2016

We admire Rachael. and appreciate her intellect, compassion, and incisive reporting. We are very disappointed that she is not the primary moderator of the election results tonight! Why has Brian Williams been given this Role??? Rachael does a much better job. We truly hope she will be moved into this role.Posted on Mar 02, 2016

Rachel. I am so bothered that everyone is defending Trump and not the Pope. Why has nobody even thought that the Pope may have been speaking metaphorically and not just literally about building bridges. I think the Pope knows that Donald Trump plans to ban all Muslims into the United States and that he wants to allow zero Syrian immigrants into the United States and I believe that he looks at that as building walls to not just the physical won between Mexico and the US. I wish you could bring this point up on your show because nobody is doing it. Thank youPosted on Feb 19, 2016

Senator Pat Toomey of PA is using the excuse that Chck Schmer said in 2007 not to appoint a judge. I asked the staff member if that ever happened and she said there wasn't the chance. I've emailed and called his office calling them obstructionists and I elected President Obama to be my President for 8 years not 7 and with the average 3 month time it takes to approve a judge he has 3x's that amount of time. The staff member went on to tell me how Toomey work to appoint others to the bench. So I asked if they overwhelming approved the next lower bench appointees how can they explain rejecting them now.Posted on Feb 19, 2016

NC Republicans have presented their new district map they were told by the Supreme Court to redraw due to constitutional issues. This new map compacts the 12th district; expands the 13th district; gives NC Republicans 10-3 advantage. It will nullify the vote and representation of African American voters. This is just the tip of this new map. MSNBC should pay attention to this.Posted on Feb 18, 2016

please clarify PAC of black cacs endorsed hillary..even . " But Rep. Keith Ellison, a Minnesota Democrat and a CBC member, sent out an accusatory tweet shortly before the endorsement, complaining, "Cong'l Black Caucus (CBC) has NOT endorsed in presidential. Separate CBCPAC endorsed withOUT input from CBC membership, including me." Ellison is one of two House members who have officially backed Sanders.Posted on Feb 12, 2016

Why is no one on TV talking about Janet Yellen's comment that she might allow or advocate for negative interest rates. This simply transfers wealth from the lower and middle-class to the very top by the train load. It's madness and no one seems to notice or care. Apparently the too big to fail bunch has realized there are a few nickels out there they failed to scoop up. You're proffession seems to have failed us.Posted on Feb 11, 2016

Just watching your show as you report on the water condition in Flint, Michigan, the results on the new report did not include that we are now experiencing, high levels of copper. Just wanted to share that. Maria's tree trotline Fint, MIPosted on Jan 30, 2016
